Seven wines, volcanic hills and a family-run winery: these are the stars of a fascinating story that you’ll discover today!
In Gambellara, in the Vicenza area, the Menti winery invites you to discover its approach to winemaking:biodynamic farming that puts nature and the local landscape at the heart of everything.
Get ready to stroll through the vineyards, step inside the ancient drying tower, browse amongst the barrels and, of course, taste seven wines accompanied by artisanal baked goods!
What we will do
We’ll meet 5 minutes before the scheduled time at the Menti winery in Gambellara (VI), where the staff will welcome us to begin our journey of discovery through their wines.
If the weather is on our side, we’ll start with a walk of about 30 minutes through the hillside vineyards. We’ll stop a few times to take in the views of the Berici Hills and the Euganean Hills, and we’ll discover why the volcanic soil is one of the most interesting factors contributing to the character of Gambellara’s wines.
We’ll then head to the ancient grape-drying tower, where we’ll learn how this unique process works, with the help of photos and videos.
We’ll then head down to the ageing cellar and the wine library, where the oldest wines are stored, before concluding the tour in the winemaking cellar.
And finally, it’s time to raise a glass: we’ll take our seats in the tasting room to sample seven wines that showcase the full versatility of the estate’s grape varieties. We will taste two still white wines, one semi-sparkling white, a Metodo Classico sparkling wine, a macerated wine and two passito wines, accompanied by artisanal baked goods. All the wines are natural, produced using biodynamic methods; the selection may vary depending on availability.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is for adults only.
Under-18s can attend free of charge and enjoy artisan fruit juices; non-drinking accompanying adults may also attend free of charge.
The tasting room is accessible to people in wheelchairs or with pushchairs; however, the winery and vineyards are not accessible.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
