Full description
Get ready to set off and keep your eyes peeled: prepare to feast your eyes on mountain horizons with an e-bike tour in Ovindoli to explore the Altopiano delle Rocche, in the wild heart of the Sirente Velino Regional Park!
Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll cycle through authentic villages such as Rovere and Rocca di Mezzo: it’ll be five hours of pure wonder, complete with a tasting of traditional Abruzzo specialities and a final aperitif.
The experience is also accessible to people with disabilities, thanks to inclusive transport and adapted bikes available on request.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the time indicated at the meeting point in Ovindoli (AQ), where the guide will welcome us. After a brief introductory briefing, we’ll hop on our e-bikes and set off on the ride.
We’ll tackle a circular route of around 25 km with 200 metres of elevation gain, cycling through forests, high-altitude pastures and past the majestic rock faces of Mount Sirente.
Along the way, we’ll pass through some of the most picturesque villages in the Abruzzo Apennines : Rovere, Rocca di Mezzo, Rocca di Cambio and Terranera, stopping to explore their historic alleyways.
Halfway through the route, we’ll stop for a delicious break to enjoy a generous tasting of typical local produce accompanied by local wines – the perfect way to recharge our batteries before heading back down into the valley.
In the afternoon, we’ll round off our tour by cycling back to the village where we started, where we’ll celebrate our ride together with a toast and a final aperitif featuring local delicacies.
We expect to return at around 4. 00 pm, after a total of approximately 5 hours’ excursion (including stops and the tasting) .
