Full description
Experience the thrill of an aerobatic flight on a tandem paraglider gliding over the shores of Lake Idro, between Trentino and Lombardy. Together with an experienced pilot, you will try your hand at aerobatics and vaulting to admire the landscape from a completely new perspective.
If you feel up to it, you can also try manoeuvring the paraglider yourself and let yourself be carried away by the ascending currents for 15-20 minutes of flight. Theadrenaline rush is guaranteed!
What we will do
We will meet in Baitoni (TN), on the shores of Lake Idro, at the time chosen during the booking process. From here we will leave to reach our take-off point: the shuttle transfer will take about 20 minutes, during which we will get to know each other and admire magnificent views of the lake.
Once at Monte Alpo, we will be at the take-off site, at an altitude of 1550 m, in 5 minutes on foot. We will have a short introductory briefing to explain flight safety procedures and put on our helmets and harnesses. After that we will be ready to take off.
A few steps down the slope will be enough to lift us into the air. The scenery below us will be majestic: to the south Lake Idro squeezed between steep banks, Castello San Giovanni perched on a rocky bastion, to the north the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. On clear days it is even possible to spot Lake Garda.
But we will not limit ourselves to contemplating the landscape, because we will immediately engage in vaulting, acrobatics and exciting manoeuvres in the skies. The pilot will show us how to manoeuvre the paraglider to take advantage of the south-westerly currents and we can take the controls ourselves to become masters of the wind!
After a long and exciting flight of 15-20 minutes, we will glide over the shores of Lake Idro for a soft landing on grass. Between shuttle transfer, briefing and flight, the total duration of the experience will be about one hour.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level, but is mainly aimed at those with previous paragliding experience, aged 12 and above.
Participants must weigh between 50 and 120 kg.
Other requirements are to be in good health and be able to make a simple run of about ten metres on the take-off slope. The experience is not suitable for those suffering from motion sickness.
Other information
The activity is available every day from March to November, subject to weather conditions. In the event of snow, the take-off site may vary and require a transfer by chairlift to Andalo or Molveno.
Important: paragliding is an activity strongly influenced by the weather. The pilot will contact you a day or two before the activity to confirm the time and meeting point. Safety first: if the weather forecast is not good, the flight will be carried out in another flying area or postponed to a new date.
