Speleological and zipline adventure at Equi Terme in Tuscany

Experience an incredible adventure at the Geo-Archeo-Adventure Park of the Equi Caves, a site of exceptional natural and geological interest. You will be able to dress up as a speleologist and have fun flying on the zip line: from the depths of the earth to the sky in just one day!

The adventure will begin with aspeleological excursion to the Equi Caves, a suggestive and timeless place in eastern Lunigiana, famous throughout the world for its very large limestone formations, shafts and peculiar colouring, visible only on this route.

Once you have completed the underground route, you can experience the thrill of a 200-metre zipline flight, soaring 20 metres above the Fagli stream and its 'potholes of the giants'. We are waiting for you!

What we will do

We will meet in Equi Terme, where we will meet the guide. After forming the group, we will have a briefing of about 30 minutes on the route and the use of the equipment, and we will be ready to set off.

We will initially approach some karstic caves modelled over millions of years by the action of water, which, penetrating into the fractures in the limestone, has formed wells, tunnels and underground lakes.

From here, guided by the expert, we will begin the caving route (total length 350 m) between via ferratas, Tibetan bridges in the beautiful caves illuminated only by the light of our head torch. Along the approx. 2.5-hour route, we will be able to admire very large limestone formations, shafts and peculiar colours, which are only visible on this excursion.

Once we have completed the underground route, we will walk to the zipline area (about 100 metres from the caves). We will be able to experience the fantastic 200-metre zip line flight, circling 20 metres above the karstic Fagli stream, and admire the 'potholesof the giants', natural cavities filled with water and up to 4 metres deep.

The excursion will last a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 10. You must be at least 140 cm tall and weigh between 20 kg and 120 kg.

No special skills are required, as long as you are in good physical and mental shape and have no heart problems or other illnesses that could limit your abilities. The activity is forbidden for pregnant women and strongly discouraged for those suffering from vertigo or claustrophobia.

Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Other information

The activity takes place all year round, weather permitting. There is in fact a karstic spring at the entrance to the cave which, in the event of flooding, makes the activity unfeasible.

The experience is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.

The temperature inside the cave is stable at around 10 degrees. It is therefore recommended to bring a sweatshirt or jacket, even during the summer period.

In the event of a thunderstorm or strong wind, the zip line route may be temporarily suspended.
