Trekking with alpacas and beekeeping near Ferrara

What could be better than an adventure? A double adventure!

Take part in our alpaca walk and beekeeping workshop: in the company of a guide and his friendly animals, you will walk through the natural setting of Bondeno until you reach thebeekeeper who will pass on all his knowledge and passion for the world of bees.

A3-hour experience that will end in the sweetest of ways: with a honey tasting!

What we will do

The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Bondeno (FE). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this double adventure!

Once all participants have gathered, the experience will begin with a brief presentation on alpacas: what an animal they are, how they behave and how to approach them. We will then head to their enclosure to take them out for a walk. The real stars of the day will be Romino, Cosmo, Kuka, Fantasy, Franz and Nils and their friends.

Together with the alpaca assigned to us, we will venture around the estate through a (fragrant) natural setting of apple and walnut groves. About halfway along, we arrive at the farm that will host us for our beekeeping workshop: after dressing up and becoming beekeepers for a day, we will enter the nearby grove that houses the beehives. Here thebeekeeper will pass on all his knowledge and passion, welcoming us into the world of bees, and there will be a tasting of various types of honey!

Still in the company of our alpacas, we will finally return to the meeting point. The alpaca walk will last 1½ hours; the total experience will last 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable from the age of 4; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

The hike is also suitable for persons with reduced mobility as it takes place on level ground and in fields without high grass; the only obstacle may be the gravel part of the route.

Other information

The experience is available from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 single participants or a minimum of 2 couples.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

The estate has 6 alpacas for a maximum number of 6 single participants or 6 pairs of participants. Participants in pairs will be able to swap halfway through leading an alpaca.

When booking, you can book for:

• Singles: persons leading the alpaca for the entire route; for a maximum number of 6 single participants.
• Pairs: pairs of people who share the leading of an alpaca for half the route; for a maximum number of 6 pairs of participants.

Leashed dogs are allowed in the park of the estate and may participate in the walk if they are used to the company of other animals and kept at an appropriate distance.
