The Maremma could not be more beautiful. And it does: add a fluffy alpaca to the scenario!
Take part in a guided walk in the company of these cute animals and get to know them in depth during an interactive experience and an in-depth didactic discovery of their wool.
An experience lasting more than 2 hours, full of cuddles and tenderness!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Sasso D'ombrone (GR) meeting point. To welcome us, we will find the guide who will accompany us on this soft adventure!
Once all the participants have gathered, a briefing of about 15 minutes will take place during which we will be explained how to interact with the animal and all the information necessary to enjoy this experience without any worries. It will then be time to meet our walking companions: the alpacas!
Our walk with alpacas can then begin: we will take a short country road and then venture through fields and vineyards. We will also enter a wood, until we reach the banks of the Ombrone river that crosses the scenic Maremma; in summer, we may even see our animal friends cooling off by bathing.
We will then return to the meeting point, where aninteractive experience of about 20 minutes awaits us: we will enter the enclosure and interact with the alpacas by cuddling them, feeding them and taking souvenir photos! This will be followed by a didactic walk of about 20 minutes during which we will learn more about this animal and be able to touch some very soft alpaca fibre samples.
Thewalk will last about 1 hour and 15 minutes, for 2.5 km; the total experience will last 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
Caution! It is possible to lead alpacas independently from 16 years of age. Children from 10 to 15 years of age may only participate as companions of an adult participant.
The experience is recommended from the age of 10. Children aged 0 to 1 year participate free of charge in their parent's baby carrier. Children from 2 to 9 years of age participate as accompanying persons at the reduced rate of €9.00 per child. Children from 0 to 9 years of age require the presence of 1 participating adult (with alpaca) and 1 accompanying adult (without alpaca). Please contact us to submit a booking request in the company of children aged 0 to 9 years.
The route is not accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.
Other information
Attention! 10 alpacas are available for this activity. For each adult participant to whom the animal is assigned, there is a maximum of 2 accompanying persons. Participant and adult accompanying person may share the leading of the animal during the excursion; this is only possible for 1 accompanying person as several changes of leading could destabilise the animal.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 adult participants.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in this activity.
Participants are asked not to wear fluttering clothes as they may frighten the animals.
Any insect repellent should not be sprayed on the palms of the hands as it will feed the animals.
Digital photos taken during the hike will be shared by the guide with participants via Whatsapp.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

Gluten-free non-alcoholic and alcoholic options are also available at a respective cost of €12.00 and €20.00 with homemade gluten-free bread. What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
