Get ready for a sea as smooth as oil, which you’ll enjoy from on board!
In Marina di Pisciotta, a traditional fishing boat awaits you, ready to take you on an adventure through the sea and flavours of the Cilento. Two and a half hours to feast your eyes on the scenery, discover the local area and its produce, and then take part in a guided extra virgin olive oil tasting.
The day will round off with an aperitif overlooking the coast, leaving you feeling as though you never want to return to shore.
What we will do
We’ll meet at 5. 30 pm at the harbour in Marina di Pisciotta (SA) and board the boat to set off on a pleasant cruise along the Cilento coast. In about 15 minutes we’ll reach a quiet cove, where we’ll drop anchor to enjoy an experience dedicated to the flavours and traditions of the region.
Here we’ll begin a guided tasting of three Cilento extra virgin olive oils. Together, we’ll discover what makes a high-quality extra virgin olive oil special, learning to recognise its scents, flavours and characteristics through a comprehensive sensory analysis. We’ll taste the three oils on their own: the first with delicate notes of almond, the other two characterised by hints of tomato, to discern the differences and appreciate all their nuances.
We’ll then put what we’ve learnt into practice straight away by pairing the oils with a selection of typical Cilento produce. We’ll start with a trio of buffalo mozzarella, to understand how the same food can change depending on the oil used, before moving on to a ‘fresella’ with cherry tomatoes, lemon zest, Cilento figs and basil. There will also be a selection of local cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by a glass of wine.
We’ll round off our apericena with a trio of traditional desserts and a small glass of Cilento fig-flavoured amaro, whilst the sea and the coastline provide the backdrop to an evening dedicated to flavour.
The event lasts a total of two and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for everyone, with no age limit and no restrictions for pregnant women. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Other information
Trips run from April to October on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, subject to a minimum of two participants.
The boat is an 8-metre gozzo fitted with an on-board toilet and a fresh-water shower. Dogs are not permitted on board.
The meeting point can be reached by car (there are pay-and-display car parks) or by public transport.
For the aperitif, please let us know in advance of any allergies or intolerances: however, gluten-free alternatives are not available.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
