If you think flying is all about engines and noise, prepare to change your mind with our glider flight baptism in Como!
Unlike traditional aircraft, in fact, this elegant aircraft without an engine is designed to glide through the air exploiting the updrafts. No engine noise to interrupt the dialogue between you and the sky, then: there's just you, the pilot at your side, and an incredible view.
Thanks to the dual controls, you can even try to fly the glider yourself. It will be an extraordinary feeling!
What we will do
The meeting is in Verzago, in the province of Como. We will begin the experience with an introductory briefing, where you will be explained the characteristics of the glider and how to fly it.
After the briefing, together with the pilot you will board thetwo-seater glider equipped with dual controls, ready for take-off. Unlike traditional aircraft, take-off in a glider is not autonomous: you will be towed by another aircraft until you reach a suitable altitude, after which the flight will begin.
During the approximately 20-minute flight, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Lombardy Pre-Alps, Lake Como, Lake Alserio or Lake Montorfano. The flight path is not fixed, but adapts to weather conditions, making each flight a unique experience.
Under the guidance of the pilot, you will also have the opportunity to take the controls and experience the unique feeling of flying a glider.
After experiencing the freedom of glider flying, it is time to return to dry land. Don't worry, landing is part of the adventure, and you'll feel a mixture of relief and eagerness to go again as soon as you touch the ground.
Between briefing, preparation and flight, the activity lasts about an hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is open to all, from the age of 10 and with a maximum weight limit of 110 kg. Minors must be accompanied to the airfield by their parents.

The experience takes place throughout the year.
The activity is usually carried out in small groups. It is possible to book up to 3 people at a time, in which case the briefing will be shared by all participants while the flight can be carried out by 1 person at a time (together with the pilot).
Important: You must arrive at the meeting point 5 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
