This is what awaits you by taking part in our flight baptism in Altamura: after a theoretical lesson on the world of aviation, you will board an ultralight aircraft as a 'pilot'. With the support of a flight instructor, you will fly for about 20-25 minutes above the Alta Murgia landscape.

What we will do

The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Altamura (BA). At the agreed time, the preparation of the aircraft will already be complete; it is possible to attend the pre-flight checks by showing up 30 minutes before the selected time.

Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by theflight instructor, who will accompany us on this memorable adventure! Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin with a theoretical lesson on the world of aviation: we will learn the basics of aerodynamics, approach the various types of aircraft and discover how the controls work.

And now it is time to board thefixed-wing ultralight aircraft, model Tecnam P92. The flying experience will take place individually, in the company of the instructor only. You will sit in the pilot's seat, ready to take command of the aircraft: you will fly for about 20-25 minutes, trying out the various flight set-ups following the instructor's instructions. Besides the thrill of the piloting test, you will enjoy a unique perspective on the Alta Murgia National Park!

The flight will end with a landing at the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 1 hour.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for ages 16 and over. Persons under the age of 18 must have signed authorisation from both parents.

Amaximum height of 1.95 metres and a maximum weight of 100 kg are required to participate.

The experience is suitable for people with motor disabilities in their lower limbs. Please contact the flight school at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to request the service.

Other information

Caution! Flying in an ultralight aircraft is an experience strictly dependent on weather conditions. The instructor will contact you 1 day before the agreed date to confirm the feasibility of the flight based on the latest weather report.

The experience takes place all year round.

The itinerary and timetable may vary according to weather conditions at the instructor's discretion.

A simultaneous flight option is available: you can share this experience with a special person, flying simultaneously in different aircraft with different instructors (for a maximum of 2 people); the option is available on Saturdays and Sundays. Any accompanying persons can wait at the flight school. Dogs are allowed at the flight school.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
