Full description
The sea baptism is a unique experience that will make you feel thethrill of breathing underwater.
Come try it for the first time in beautiful Maratea: after the theory part with the instructor, where you will learn the basics of diving, you will put on your wetsuit and head to the Darsena Beach, one of the most beautiful along the Maratea coastline.
Here you will dive to a maximum depth of 6 metres to discover the underwater world. What are you waiting for?
What we will do
We will meet at the time selected during the booking process in Mareatea (PZ).
The sea baptism is divided into two parts: the first consists of a theoretical explanation, the second in the practical part. At our meeting, we will not immediately dive into the water. The first three hours of the activity will take place on land.
We will then be introduced to the underwater world so that we will know how to behave once we have descended into the depths. But for our preparation to be complete, we will take part in a micro-lecture on marine biology.
Finally, all the equipment will be tested to verify its proper functioning. Once we have chosen the equipment proportionate to each person's physique, we will make a brief summary of the safety rules. At this point, we will be ready to dive into the water!
With our wetsuits already on, we will set off with the instructor for the Darsena beach. Here we will dive no deeper than 6 metres and stay underwater for about half an hour.
We will then return to base after 5 hours of activity, with oursea baptism certificate in our possession!
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 10 years and over, provided they are in good health. A certificate of good health must be shown.
Minors must be accompanied.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
