Sea baptism on the Costa Viola in the province of Reggio Calabria

With this sea baptism on the Costa Viola in the province of Reggio Calabria, you can discover the sea forms of the area together with an expert instructor, who will guide you down to a depth of 6 metres to let you experience unique emotions.

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Palmi (RC), where our diving instructor will be waiting for us.

We will be greeted with a welcome drink (included and non-alcoholic), in front of which we can get acquainted with the instructor who will accompany us during the experience. We will then move in just five minutes to the dive site, located on the beautiful Costa Viola, with our cars or, alternatively, with the organisers' vehicles (service not included).

When we arrive at our destination, we will be given theequipment (included) and attend a theoretical lesson of about 30 minutes to learn how to use it. In addition, all the rules concerning diving safety will be explained to us. After the theory part is over, we will enter the water and put into practice everything we have learnt through a few exercises such as recovering the regulator and emptying the mask.

At that point, we will be excited and ready for our first dive! Together with the instructor, we will dive to a depth of 6 metres and swim while admiring at close quarters the marine forms that characterise the area, including bream, groupers, mullet, crabs, sea daisies and moray eels. The instructor will point out the most interesting ones and will always be at our side so that we can enjoy anunforgettable adventure!

After about 30 minutes of diving, we will return to the surface and take the opportunity to ask the instructor all the questions we want while drinking some fruit juice or other sugary drinks (included) to refresh ourselves!

The activity will last a total of 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable from the age of 10. Children under the age of 18 can only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult.

It is not necessary to know how to swim to do the activity, but you do need to feel comfortable in the water. Each participant will be accompanied by an instructor.

The activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties. It is also not suitable for asthma sufferers or those with heart problems. It is not necessary to provide a medical certificate, but a medical history form will be filled out on site.

Other information

The activity is available from mid-April to mid-November.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, but free parking spaces are available on site. By requesting in advance via the contact details in the booking confirmation e-mail and paying a surcharge on site (card or cash), it is possible to use a transfer service from Reggio Calabria airport, Lamezia Terme airport and the centre of Palmi.

There are changing rooms, showers, toilets and a storage room for valuables (services included). Transfer to the dive site will take place with one's own car or, if necessary, with the activity organisers' vehicles.

The instructor will provide thenecessary equipment (included), which will include a wetsuit, mask, regulator, GAV and fins. It is possible to participate with one's own equipment without changing the participation fee.

Attention! In order to participate, you will need to inform the organisers in advance of your T-shirt and shoe size, so that they will know the size of the wetsuit and footwear to assign to you. To do this, please contact them via the contact details in your booking confirmation e-mail!

Any accompanying persons with leashed dogs may stay at the diving centre.
