Barolo and Barbaresco Tasting with cellar visit in Barolo

At the foot of the most prestigious Barolo cru, stands Vite Colte, the first technological winery in the Langhe.

Here, from the fruit of the work of no less than 180 vine growers and grape growers, come the excellences of this territory such as Barbaresco and Barolo, which you can taste at the end of this guided tour with tasting.

You will discover the secrets of these wines and their prized reserves, in a one-and-a-half-hour food and wine tour.

What we will do

The appointment is 5 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking at the Vite Colte winery in Barolo (CN). We will be welcomed by our guide, ready to take us on this tasting tour to discover Piedmont's wines of excellence.

Having gathered all the participants, our visit to the winery will begin: walking on an elevated walkway , we will see the outside of the winery, surrounded by the landscape of the Langhe, and then we will enter the various rooms where the production process takes place.

In this order we will visit the Nebbiolo room, the technology room, the ageing room (as well as the largest barrique cellar in Piedmont) and finally the bottling room. Although the grapes come from more than 180 growers scattered throughout the territory, all 50 Vite Colte labels are refined and bottled here. The entire route is enriched by illustrative panels signed by the artist MAUPAL, supporting the guide's explanation. The tour will last about 40 minutes.

After that, it will be time for the actual tasting . We will be seated at one of the tables in thewine shop, where we will be served four glasses of Barolo and Barbaresco and their reserves. Specifically, we will taste

• Barbaresco D.O.C.G. "La Casa in Collina".
• Barbaresco D.O.C.G. Riserva "Spezie
• Barolo D.O.C.G. "Essenze".
• Barolo D.O.C.G. Riserva "Essenze".

The tasting will be accompanied by a selection of local cured meats and cheeses and dry bakery products to enhance the scents of the wine to the full.

The experience will last a total of about 1.5 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.

The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over only. Accompanying persons under 18 years of age or persons with astemia can participate in the experience by selecting the"Accompanying persons" option when booking.

The tasting room is wheelchair-accessible; a companion is required for the cellar visit.

Other information

The experience takes place all year round with the exception of February.

There is free parking for guests on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

Dogs are only allowed in the tasting room; they are not allowed in the cellar.

For those who wish to complete the experience with lunch, there is a restaurant on the premises that is open from 12:00 to 14:00.
