Full description
Kitesurfing is one of the most exciting and fun water sports, letting you experience the thrill of cutting through the waves with the wind on your skin. All you have to do is book the basic kitesurfing course in Frigole to acquire the basics, such as flying the kite and balancing on the board.
Throughout the activity, you will be accompanied by an expert instructor who will first explain the main techniques of the sport on the beach and then help you put them into practice in the water.
You can book the course alone or in pairs and embark on an unusual experience!
What we will do
The meeting with the instructor is in Frigole, in the province of Lecce. As soon as we arrive, we will be given thetechnical equipment (included) and explained the characteristics of the kite and the board. At the end of this introduction, we will move on to the actual lesson.
In the first step, the kite will have shorter lines than the standard size (10 metres), a choice that will allow us to get a good understanding of what it means to fly the kite and to practise the basic movements of this sport.
The second step is to use a kite with longer lines (15 metres) in order to learn the handling of the wing and more advanced safety measures such as self rescue, the so-called 'lifesaving manoeuvre', to be used if, for example, we find ourselves in the water and the kite has no intention of starting again.
In the third phase we will learn how to manoeuvre in the most diverse situations in order to gain fluency in handling the kite. For example, we will be explained the position of body drag and the position of starting on the board. Once we have understood everything, we will enter the water to put into practice what we have been taught.
The course can also be taken by those who already have kitesurfing experience. In this case, the instructor will customise the course by helping to solve problems and critical technical movements.
The course lasts a total of 3 hours, including lessons on the beach and in the water.
Who it is aimed at
The course is open to everyone over the age of 14, from beginners to those who already have kitesurfing experience but want to perfect their technique.
No specific skills are required, the important thing is to weigh at least 40 kg.

The activity can be booked from October to May, weather permitting, and can be done individually or in pairs.
