If spending all your time on the beach under a beach umbrella is not for you and you want to have fun and experience the sea to the full, you should try the most adrenalin-pumping water sport there is: kitesurfing.
A 3-day basic course in Salento will introduce you to the world of kiteboarding, teaching you the basic techniques to take your first steps aboard the board and steer thekite.
With the help of certified instructors, you will learn how to speed over the waves carried by the wind further and further from the shore!
What we will do
The course will take place on one of the most beautiful beaches in Frigole, in the province of Lecce. You will have 3 lessons of 2 hours each, to be carried out together with qualified instructors on days that we will agree together according to availability and wind conditions.
The basic kitesurfing course is structured in 3 levels and designed to progress the student as quickly as possible and in total safety. It will take place in private mini-groups of up to 3 participants.
The first lesson will be devoted mainly to theory and control of the k ite. You will learn the correct position to hold on the board and the most efficient way to manoeuvre the kite bar. You will learn about the flight window and power zone, be trained on safety systems and the launch and landing phases of the kite.
The second lesson will focus on body dragging, a water dragging exercise to learn how to power the kite. In addition, you will learn how to recover the board, relaunch the kite from the water and practice self rescue, a self-rescue manoeuvre that is performed in case of emergency.
On thelast day you'll really get into the swing of things with the fun part that will let you fully experience the thrills of this overwhelming sport, trying your first starts and glides on the water.
The aim of the course will be to make you confident and independent in the basic manoeuvres of kite riding. At the end you will be issued with the IKO card, a document that will allow you to kitesurf according to your level in all internationally recognised kitesurfing spots.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level. No specific skills or previous experience is required. It is advisable to know how to swim. Children from the age of 10 can also participate.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
Lessons can only be held if wind conditions are suitable. You do not necessarily have to take the 3 lessons on three consecutive days, but we will agree on the next session together with the instructor, depending on school availability and weather conditions.
Allnecessary technical equipment is included in the price. If you wish to continue kitesurfing after the lessons, you can rent the equipment directly from the school and have theassistance of an instructor.
