Have you always been fascinated by the world of windsurfing and never had the chance to try it? Well, you're in the right place! A 1-hour basic lesson is the best way to approach this exciting discipline with the help of experienced instructors.
You will learn the basic techniques and experience the completeness and fun of this sport. Invigorating and stimulating, windsurfing promotes physical and mental well-being and provides moments of great enthusiasm and relaxation, in a friendly and easy-going environment.
You will experience the unique sensation of gliding over the water and riding the waves following the flow of the wind, integrate perfectly with nature, and savour the joy of one of the coolest beaches on the Latium coastline!
What we will do
The meeting point is in Tarquinia Lido, in the province of Viterbo, directly on the beach. You can take the lesson individually or in a mini-group of a maximum of 3 people, so that the instructor can follow everyone thoroughly.
You will start with a theoretical briefing, thanks to which you will learn about theequipment and the basic rules. After that, you will do some trials with a simulator, i.e. a windsurfing sail mounted on a wooden board made to recreate the instability you will experience in the water.
Finally, you'll get into the sea and, again followed by the instructor, you'll begin to perform some basic exercises, starting with the sailing position and ending with the various unbalances of the sail forwards and backwards, known in technical jargon as the lee and heave. If you get the hang of it quickly, you can start trying more complex changes of direction such as tacking and jibing, but this is up to you and how passionate you are about the discipline!
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 6 years old and up. One must be in good health and know how to swim.
Other information
You can deposit your personal belongings free of charge at the Windsurfing Centre and use the beach and restaurant services after the lesson (prices not included in the participation fee).
The activity is bookable from April to October and is open to mini-groups of 1 to 3 people.
