Full description

Discover the Valnerina area by cycling to the Marmore Falls in the company of an expert guide and other friendly hikers.

The route, 16 km in total, runs along the left bank of the River Nera and will allow you to enjoy the wonderful Umbrian landscape without great physical effort. It is, in fact, a hilly route perfect for spending a few pleasant hours in the saddle.

After about two and a half hours of cycling and a stop to admire the waterfall, you will return to your starting point, ready to tell your friends about this wonderful experience!

What we will do

We will meet in Arrone (TR), where the staff will be waiting for us to hand over our bikes and helmets (included). The guide will also give us a short introduction to the route in order to prepare us for the excursion.

After about half an hour, we will all set off together along the first section of the route, which runs along the left bank of the river Nera. We will face a series of gentle hillsides accompanied by an unspoilt landscape, which will allow us to breathe deeply and regain contact with nature.

After an hour's ride, we will arrive at the magnificent Marmore waterfalls and be able to admire the force of the waters that split into three jumps along a 165-metre drop. It is no coincidence that these are the highest man-made waterfalls in Europe.

After admiring the waterfalls and taking a few souvenir photos, we return to the starting point. The route of 16 km in total, with an altitude difference of 150 m, is fairly easy. Once at the centre, we can relax with a small relaxing session or enjoy a picnic with the other participants in the hike.

The activity lasts a total of 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is aimed at everyone from 6 years old and up.

Other information

The tour runs from March to October every day. There are two departures: one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

After receiving the booking confirmation, we recommend that you inform the guide of your height and age so that he can prepare the most suitable mountain bikes for each participant.
