If you like cycling and the climb is a challenge for you to take head-on, you absolutely must not miss this bike tour on Monte Faito, the giant that dominates the sea and marks the beginning of the Sorrento Peninsula.
You will cycle immersed in nature, between mountain landscapes and glimpses of the sea. You will find yourself in silence interrupted only by the rhythm of the pedalling and the sounds of the environment.
You will be able to breathe in pure air and the scent of pine and, having reached the summit of Monte Faito, your effort will be repaid by a breathtaking panorama of the entire Gulf of Naples.
What we will do
The tour departs from Meta di Sorrento (NA). After booking, you will agree with your guide where the shuttle will pick you up and take you to the starting point. Once you arrive, you will be given your bike and helmet, a briefing on the route and safety rules, and then off you go, ready to climb into the saddle!
From Meta di Sorrento we will take the State Road SS 145 heading north. We will ride for about 3 km and then turn right onto the municipal road that will take us towards the first ramps of the Monti Lattari. Although we have only just started, an initial stop will be a must: the panorama, whatever the weather, will be spectacular. Enchanted by the landscape, we will continue pedalling along an increasingly uphill road.
After about 20 km we arrive at Moiano, a hamlet of Vico Equense , and as soon as we cross the village we take the road that will take us to the top. From this point onwards it will only be uphill with stretches that will touch peaks of 12% gradient. After another 7 km of effort, we will arrive on the plain of Monte Faito.
Once at the top, we will be flooded with indescribable emotion: we will find ourselves enveloped by a breathtaking landscape. Our gaze will sweep from the Sorrento Peninsula to the island of Capri with its Faraglioni, over the entire Vesuvius area with the city of Naples, Vesuvius and the arc of the Neapolitan Gulf.
After the regenerating stop, we will return to the starting point, accompanied by theadrenaline and speed of the descent. The route has a total length of 40 km and an altitude difference of 600 m. The total duration of the activity is approximately 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an advanced level and is open to trained cyclists (however, it is possible to take the tour by e-bike and use pedal assistance). You can participate from 16 years of age (accompanied by an adult).

This activity can be done all year round, weather permitting.
After booking, you can tell the guide the address of your residence for the pick-up or arrange a meeting point. The following are the places where the pick-up service is available: Massa Lubrense, Sorrento, Sant'Agnello, Piano di Sorrento, Meta, Vico Equense and Castellammare di Stabia.
In agreement with the guide, it is possible to establish a different departure time from the one indicated.
Carbon road bikes will be provided for the excursion. It is possible to do the tour by e-bike at the same price (communicate your preference after booking).
