Full description
Be enchanted by the Umbrian countryside with its medieval villages perched on rocky spurs. Pedal in the saddle of a mountain bikein the company of an expert guide along an 18 km route with an altitude difference of 250 metres.
You will tackle an easy route that allows you to immerse yourself in the unspoilt beauty of the Valnerina and discover the villages of Arrone, Casteldilago and Ferentillo with their fortresses and narrow streets with stone houses.
On the return journey, you will also have the chance to enjoy a picnic with your new companions.
What we will do
The meeting point is Arrone (TR), where the guide will be waiting for us and will accompany us on the excursion. The guide will hand over the bike (included) and give us a short introduction to illustrate the 18 km route, with a difference in altitude of only 250 metres.
We will all setoff together at 09:00, beginning our excursion along a hilly stretch along the unspoilt banks of the River Nera. The route is very easy and allows us to discover the beauty of the Umbrian countryside and the area of the Nera River Park. We will be able to have fun, among other things, experimenting with some small techniques for overcoming obstacles. That is, we will be able to try our hand at the off-saddle, the ford of the stream and the vegetal tunnel.
After leaving behind the charming village of Arrone, perched on a rocky hill, we will cycle towards the villages of Casteldilago and Ferentillo. The latter is best known for its natural cliffs where free climbing is practised and for the cluster of houses split in two by the waters of the River Nera.
After admiring the villages we return to the starting point, where we can rest and, if we wish, enjoy a picnic (not included) with our hiking companions. The activity lasts a total of three and a half hours.

Other information
The tour runs daily from March to October. There are two departures, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
On request, a homemade picnic basket containing two sandwiches stuffed with typical cured meats, a half-litre bottle of water, a piece of fruit and a sweet can be booked on the return trip. The cost of the basket, prepared by local grocery shops, is 7€ to be paid on site.
After receiving the booking confirmation, we recommend that you inform the guide of your height and age so that he can prepare the most suitable mountain bikes for each participant.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
