Hey, who turned out the light?
At the Wine Museum in Sciara, in the heart of the Alcantara Valley, a sensory challenge that breaks the mould of classic wine tasting awaits you: in an ancient palmento in Motta Camastra, where history oozes from the stone walls, you will be guided on a blind tasting to discover the most authentic soul of Etna wines.
An immersive 2-hour experience that includes a blind tasting of 5 wines, to be guessed by following only your instinct!
What we will do
The appointment is at 13: 00 at the ancient palmento di Sciara in Motta Camastra (ME), in the splendid setting of the Alcantara Valley.
We will be welcomed by our guide, an engaging wine expert who will accompany us on an unconventional food and wine tour where hearing and taste will take over.
We will begin with an interactive visit inside the Wine Museum, where thanks to projections and digital installations we will discover the ancient ritual of winemaking in this historic building.
But the real challenge will begin once we are seated: we will be blindfolded to begin the blind tasting. Without the help of sight, we will have to recognise the nuances, aromas and textures of 3 artisanal wines, immersed in a sensory music experience designed to amplify every perception.
The game will then continue with the discovery of 2 "secret bottles" that we will have to try to guess by following the clues of our senses. The tasting will be enhanced by 3 local oils and a board of local delicacies, including homemade bread, cold meats and cheeses.
To immortalise the funniest and most intense moments of the challenge, we will receive a professional video reel and an exclusive gadget to take home.
The experience will last about 2 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience as "chaperones" at a cost of approximately €25 with payment on site according to consumption.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
