You have a blind date. With your next wine!
A sensory tasting awaits you in Diano d'Alba, where you will discover the flavours, aromas and memories hidden in three glasses of wine from the Veglio Romano and Lorenzo Winery.
An exciting experience lasting one and a half hours to test your senses. .. all except sight!
What we will do
The appointment is at 16: 00 at the Veglio Romano and Lorenzo Farm in Diano d'Alba (CN).
We will discover a property immersed in the vineyards of the Langhe, with a breathtaking view of Grinzane Cavour Castle. To welcome us we will find Elisa or one of her collaborators, who will introduce us to the history of the company: a family-run winery born with great-grandfather Romano and today carried on with passion by father Lorenzo, oenologist, and the rest of the family.
We will not visit the winery, because the journey ahead of us is another: the one inside our senses. After a brief introduction on the philosophy of the winery, we will move to the tasting area, indoors or outdoors depending on the season.
At this point we will put on a blindfold and receive a notebook. We will taste three selected wines, all with labels covered, accompanied by tastings that are deliberately 'ugly' to the eye but surprisingly delicious. The objective? To let our other senses guide us!
We will jot down in the notebook everything we perceive: scents, sensations, images, memories that will emerge spontaneously as we taste the wine and its accompaniments. Then we will unburden ourselves and share what we have written down: a fun, surprising and often poetic moment, in which the wine becomes a landscape or a memory we never suspected existed.
Whenever possible, especially towards evening, we will live this experience by candlelight, to add an even more intimate and immersive touch to the tasting.
The total duration of the experience will be about 1½ hours.

Wine tasting is reserved for adults only.
The facility is not accessible to persons with reduced mobility.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
