Have you ever seen the exact spot where the Ionian and the Mediterranean kiss? It happens right in front of the charming seaside village of Marzamemi!
Aboard a typical gozzo, you will sail past coves, cliffs and ancient tuna nets, towards Portopalo and the island of Capo Passero. Between dives, you can stock up on goodies with a typical aperitif on board.
A 3½-hour experience that will make you fall in love with Sicily!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Marzamemi (SR). Here we will meet our captain, who will welcome us on board the gozzo and explain the itinerary before we set off.
We will set sail in a northerly direction towards the beautiful coastal area of San Lorenzo, where we will stop for a 30-minute swim. We will then continue in the direction of Portopalo and Isola di Capo Passero, until we reach the bay below the Tafuri Castle and the old tuna fishery.
Along the way we will make another 2 or 3 stops of about 30 minutes to swim and dive from the boat, while during the navigation the captain will entertain us with stories and curiosities about the area. Did you know, for example, that in front of Marzamemi the Ionian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea meet? The 'kiss' between the two seas is visible at a point called Isola delle Correnti.
There will also be room for taste: an aperitif will be served on board with typical local products, such as focaccia and other delicacies, accompanied by fruit, prosecco and soft drinks. A moment of conviviality to toast the summer, hoping that it never ends!
We will conclude the experience with a return to the port of departure. The activity will last a total of 3½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible, but staff will be able to support passengers with mild mobility problems during boarding. Please contact the organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email for assistance.

The activity runs from 15 May to 30 September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 5 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
Theboat is a typical Sicilian gozzo, 9 metres long and 2.80 metres wide, equipped with cushions, a shade awning, freshwater shower, and a convenient ladder. Some snorkelling accessories are available on board.
In case of food allergies or intolerances, no alternatives are guaranteed, but it is possible to bring food on board.
Dogs are not allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
