How many times have you seen the gondoliers of Venice and wished you were in their place to tour the canals of the beautiful lagoon?
With this boat rental in Chioggia you can become a gondolier for a day and travel the navigable canals of the beautiful Venetian lagoon to the islands of Lido and Pellestrina. The two are emblems of the place's history and are home to restaurants where you can eat while enjoying magnificent views of the lagoon.

What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Chioggia (VE), where the organisers of the activity will be waiting for us. After an initial welcome, we will have a briefing of about 10 minutes during which we will be explained how to drive the boat, a 5.30 m boat with a 40 HP engine and a maximum capacity of 6 people, and we will be given some valuable advice on theitinerary to follow.
In particular, we will be shown the navigable channels of the marvellous Venetian lagoon through which we can reach the islands of Lido and Pellestrina, the two coastal strips separating it from the Adriatic Sea. The first hosts enchanting beaches and the medieval village of Malamocco, called a 'little Venice' for its canals very similar to those of the Serenissima. The second, on the other hand, is divided into small neighbourhoods and is home to the famous Murazzi, Istrian stone embankments built in the 18th century to cope with storm surges.
Once the boat is moored at the islands, it will be possible to have lunch in one of the delicious restaurants along the shoreline directly overlooking the Venetian lagoon, guaranteeing a unique view. The day's programme will be entirely in our hands and we will be able to organise ourselves in complete freedom. No boat licence is needed, all you need is a little creativity!
The boat must be returned to the departure point no later than 18:00. The activity will last a total of 9 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone. To drive the boat you must be at least 20 years old , while it is not necessary to have a licence.
The boat is not accessible to people in wheelchairs or with walking difficulties.

The activity is available all year round.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and parking spaces are available nearby. The activity organisers provide a private one (included): for more information contact them at the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail.
Theboat is 5.30 metres long, with a 40 HP Yahama engine and a maximum capacity of 6 persons. It is also equipped with a climbing ladder, awning, sundeck, cushions and nautical maps of the area. By requesting it in advance via the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail and paying an additional €20 (in cash) on site, it will also be possible to have an igloo refrigerator on board (not included and optional), already stocked with ice.
Attention! The cost of fuel (obligatory) is to be considered excluded from the fee and will be settled on return from the experience according to consumption. In addition, there is a deposit of €300 to be paid in cash for the boat rental.
