Lake Maggiore seen from the shore is enchanting. But it is from the water that it unleashes all its wonder!
Setsail from Arona by hiring a motorboat in the company of a crew of up to 7 people and explore the most beautiful views of the lake, from the Borromean Islands to picturesque Lesa.
You will sail for half a day or awhole day in complete freedom. And a boat licence is not needed!
What we will do
The meeting will take place at the meeting point in Arona (NO), 30 minutes before the time specified at the time of booking. You will be welcomed by the organiser, who will be ready to take you aboard your boat, a motorboat equipped with all the comforts.
After signing the hire agreement, there will be an introductory briefing lasting around 20 minutes, during which you will be given details about the boat, how to operate it and the safety regulations.
The organiser will point out the sights you can admire from the water whilst sailing with a crew of up to 7 people (or 5 adults and 4 children, as indicated in the ‘Further Information’ section) , such as the statue of San Carlone, Lesa and Sasso Cavallazzo.
What’s more, you’ll be able to enjoy a tour of the spectacular Borromean Islands:Isola Madre,Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori will unfold before your eyes, offering you moments of genuine wonder!
The hire will last for half a day (up to 4 hours) or a full day (up to 11 hours).
Who it is aimed at
The minimum age for the driver is 18. A boating licence is not required.
The minimum age for passengers is 3 years.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible. Persons with reduced mobility and pregnant women are welcome on board.
Other information
The boat is available for hire from March to October and is aimed at private groups of up to 7 people.
The vessel is a 5. 90 m motorboat, fitted with a 40 CV engine and equipped with an awning, cushions, an anchor, GPS, a buzzer and a boarding ladder; there is no on-board shower.
You may bring your own food and drink on board. A cool box is available on request: please contact the organiser using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to arrange for one to be provided on board.
Dogs are allowed on board.
Please note! A deposit of €400 in cash or by credit card is required upon collection of the boat; this will be refunded upon return.
Please note! Fuel is not included and will be deducted from the security deposit upon return of the boat.
The meeting point is accessible by public transport; on-site parking is available.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
