Hire a boat to explore Lake Maggiore in complete freedom!
From Baveno, you can take the helm of this modern 5. 7-metre boat with a 40 CV engine, perfect for up to 6 people.
Choose whether to sail for half a day (4 hours), a full day (9 hours) or during the golden hour (3 hours).
What we will do
Please arrive at the meeting point in Baveno (VB) at the time indicated. On arrival, the staff will hand over the boat to you and hold a brief introductory briefing. You will be provided with a map and the key rules for safe navigation.
The BluMax 19 Pro is 5. 70 metres long and is powered by a 40 CV Mercury F40 ELPT EFI PRO engine, which can be operated without a boat licence. On board, you’ll find a spacious sun deck with a full set of comfortable cushions for relaxing, a sun awning to keep you sheltered during the hottest part of the day, and a ladder to help you climb back on board easily after a swim. This model also boasts very low fuel consumption.
Once you’ve set off from the shore, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to your route. You can set course for the famous and elegant Borromean Islands, true jewels set in the water, or head towards the Lombardy shore to admire the charming Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, a monastery perched high above the lake.
At the end of your trip, you’ll return to the starting point to hand the boat back. When booking, you can choose between 4, 9 or 3-hour hire periods.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. A licence is not required to drive the boat; it is sufficient to be of legal age.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchairs and persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The boat is available for hire from June to September and can accommodate up to 6 people. You can select your preference in the booking box by choosing from:
- Half-day (4 hours) with times 9. 00–13. 00 or 14. 00–18. 00
- Full day (9 hours) from 9. 00 am to 6. 00 pm
- Golden hour (3 hours) from 18: 00 to 21: 00
Dogs are permitted on board this boat for an additional charge of €30, payable on site.
Important: fuel is not included in the price and must be paid for on return based on actual consumption (in cash or by card) . A security deposit of €400 is also required, payable on site in cash or by card, which will be refunded on return.
The venue is easily accessible by public transport; there is free private parking on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
