If you think Lake Maggiore is beautiful from the shore, wait until you see it from your 40hp boat, with music from your Bluetooth speakers and your hands on the helm.
From Arolo you can hire a 5.5-metre open boat and set off with your group, up to 6 people, without needing a licence. You won't lack a thing on board: awning for shade, ladder for diving, cushions for lying in the sun and even a cooler.
Choose whether to stay half a day or take the whole day to explore the lake!
What we will do
The appointment is in Arolo, starting at 9:00 am. On your arrival, the staff will welcome you and, after signing the rental contract, give you a brief explanation of the boat, navigation rules, and safety.
The Mary boat is an open boat 5.5 metres long and 2 metres wide, with a 40 HP engine and can also be driven without a licence. It has a maximum capacity of 6 people and is equipped with:
- Sunawning
- Completecushions
- Ladderfor climbing out of the water
- Bluetooth speakers
- Cooler on request
Once you are ready, you can set sail and choose your route: a 5-minute sail to theHermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, 15 minutes to the elegant Borromean Islands, 30 minutes to the Rocca di Angera and 40 minutes to Arona.
You will have to return the boat after 4 hours or 9 hours maximum, depending on the option chosen at the time of booking.
Who it is aimed at
The minimum age for the driver is 18; a licence is not required. Passengers of all ages may board.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
Rental is available from March to October and is intended for private groups of up to 6 participants. When booking, you can choose between
- half-day: 9:00-13:00 or 14:00-18:00;
- full day: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Small and medium-sized dogs are allowed on board.
Fuel is excluded from the fee and will be payable on return according to consumption.
A security deposit of 150€ in cash may be requested upon delivery of the boat, which will be returned upon return.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
