Have you ever dreamed of sailing freely among the islands of the Venice Lagoon?
Make room for your desire for adventure and beauty by hiring a boat on the island of Giudecca and set sail to discover the smaller islands near Venice, from the picturesque Murano and Burano to the lesser-known Vignola and Sant'Erasmo.
You will be able to hire a typical Venetian boat of 6 m and 40 hp without a licence, suitable for a group of up to 6 people. Start choosing your travel companions and enjoy half aday or afull day of exploration!
What we will do
The meeting point is on the island of Giudecca (VE), 40 minutes before the time indicated during the booking process.
On arrival you will be welcomed by the staff to sign the rental contract and accompanied to your boat, which you will find ready in the water: a typical Venetian boat 6 m long and 1.80 m wide, with a 40 HP outboard petrol engine, awning, cushions, sundeck, ladder, GPS tablet, observation tutor and nautical charts at your disposal.
A member of staff will show you the safety equipment and explain all the rules for navigation in the Venice Lagoon. Before departure you will do a test navigation near the pick-up point to learn how to moor, use the GPS and steer the boat.
The island of Giudecca will be your base for exploring the northern part of the Venice Lagoon to the colourful islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. If, on the other hand, you prefer to depart from the classic routes, we recommend heading for the smaller islands of the lagoon, such as Certosa, Vignola, Sant' Andrea and Sant'Erasmo.
Thanks to the observation tutor, the rental staff will be able to stay in contact with you throughout your trip, monitoring your position and providing assistance if necessary. The tablet with GPS navigator and water-resistant PVC charts will allow you to easily find your way around the lagoon and reach your desired destinations.
The rental will last 4 or 8 hours, to be chosen at the time of booking.
Who it is aimed at
You must be at least 18 years old tocharter and drive the boat .
A boat licence is not necessary, but a minimum of experience in boat driving is required.
Passengers of all ages are allowed on board.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible.
Other information
Rental is available from March to November, daily, and is intended for private groups of up to 6 people.
Please arrive at least 40 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
Please note! It is not possible to enter the canals in the historic centre of Venice by boat.
The boat is a typical Venetian boat 6 m long and 1.80 m wide, with a 40 HP petrol engine, awning, cushions, sundeck, ladder, and safety equipment. A GPS tablet, observation tutors to monitor the vessels on land, and nautical charts are also provided.
Fuel is not included and will be payable upon return of the boat according to consumption.
A deposit of €500 in cash or pre-authorisation on the card is required when signing the rental agreement.
Dogs of all sizes are welcome on board.
The meeting point can be reached from Venice by vaporetto lines 2, 4.1 and 4.2.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 0 days from the activity start date. Within 0 and 0 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
