Immerse yourself in the wonder of Syracuse! Spend two hours on a boat sailing around the island of Ortigia and exploring the coastline's incredible sea caves.
In the company of a merry group, you can sail to thePlemmirio marine protected area, skirt the Maddalena Peninsula and enjoy a refreshing swim in the waters of the beautiful Minaret beach.

What we will do
The appointment is in Syracuse at the place indicated in the booking confirmation. I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time, ready to welcome you on board my boat.
We will depart from the island of Ortigia, circumnavigating it entirely before heading in the direction of the sea caves. We will enjoy the beauty of the city, observing the important monuments and historical buildings overlooking the sea. On the way around the island we will see the Arethusa Spring, Maniace Castle, the Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Spirit.
We will then head towards the sea caves to visit the Grotta dei cappuccini, the Grotta del corallo, the Grotta dell'amore with its characteristic heart shape, and the Grotta delle stalattiti.
Sailing southwards, we will instead admire thePlemmirio Marine Area, the seaside resorts of Costa del Sole, Fanusa and the golden beach of Arenella, bathed by crystal-clear waters. We will skirt the Maddalena Peninsula and the famous beaches of Pirillina and Minareto.
During the tour we will make one 20-minute bathing stop or two shorter stops of 10 minutes each, either at the sea caves or at the Minareto beach, depending on sea conditions. At the end of our tour we will return to the port of departure.
The excursion lasts 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children from 0 to 5 years old do not pay: contact us to reserve their place on board.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The activity is available all year round, every day, subject to marine weather conditions.
The excursion will take place on board a motor boat equipped with a canopy. Depending on the number of passengers, a boat of different capacity and length will be used: a 6.90 m boat (max. 8 passengers), a 7.50 m boat (max. 13 passengers) and an 8.60 m boat (max. 15 passengers). Life jackets and diving masks are available on board.
Dogs are allowed on board.
