Full description
If you love nature, archaeology and history, this is the experience for you! Climb aboard a boat and set off to discover the Baia Underwater Park (NA).
Thanks to the boat's transparent bottom, you will have the sensation of diving underwater to discover the seabed of this marine protected area, also nicknamed the 'submerged Pompeii' for its historical and archaeological importance.
It will be a truly fascinating experience to share with friends and family!
What we will do
We will meet in Bacoli (NA), at the place and time indicated in the booking.
Our navigation will set off to discover the wonders of Baia. Along the way, we will admire the spectacular Aragonese Castle, Villa Sole e Luna , and Punta Epitaffio.
Listening to the curiosities and anecdotes told by our archaeological-naturalistic guide on board, we will immerse ourselves in the history of this fascinating area and admire the seabed through the transparent bottom of the boat.
We will then reach the Submerged Park of Baia: here a diver authorised by the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park will dive to unveil one of the mosaics that the Archaeological Park of Baia will make visible to the public, by way of exception, for this one-day tour. Each experience will in fact be unique, depending on the mosaic unveiled during the specific excursion.
We will return to the Bacoli pier after about an hour 's excursion.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for all ages. Children aged 0 to 5 years participate free of charge.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is wheelchair-accessible (maximum 1 per group, upon request to the organisers).
Other information
The excursion takes place on Saturdays and Sundays from April to October, subject to weather and sea conditions, and is confirmed with a minimum of 15 participants.
Departure is on a 14-metre boat with a transparent bottom, ideal for admiring underwater archaeological finds. The boat is covered and equipped with tents for shelter from the sun and toilets.
In addition to the crew, an archaeological-naturalistic guide and a diver authorised by the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park will be on board.
Medium-small dogs are allowed, maximum one per participant.
