Picnic in the waves? Here's an experience to put on your to-do list!
Set sail with us for a two-and-a-half-hour tour of nature and taste: from Syracuse, you can delve into the suggestive sea caves, coloured by the tiny corals inside them, and then swim among the fish in the Plemmirio nature reserve.
The grand finale? A picnic in front of the picture-postcard landscape of Ortigia: what are you waiting for to discover all the Sicilian products in your basket?
What we will do
We will meet in Syracuse, 10 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
We will start the navigation heading towards the sea caves of the modern city. We will visit 3 or 4 of them, including La Bocca, L' orecchio piccolo, L'acquario or Grotta delle Stalattiti: the colours of the small corals will be a magnificent sight to behold. Afterwards, we will make a bathing stop of about 15 minutes.
Back on board we will head towards the Pilirina for another swim stop at the Plemmirio nature reserve, a perfect place to put on the masks on board and dive in to snorkel.
The final part of the tour will be dedicated to lunch and will take place in the large port of Ortigia: in front of the magnificent view of theisland we will open our picnic baskets with Sicilian products. Each group will have its own basket with rustic Sicilian products such as arancini, caponata, and seasonal products, accompanied by a choice of white or red wine, water and drinks.
We will return to the port, with full bellies, after a 2½-hour tour.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children from 0 to 6 years old are free of charge: please inform the organisers at the contact details indicated in your booking confirmation email.
The boat can be wheelchair-accessible: the skipper will assess the feasibility according to the person's weight (there are steps and small architectural barriers).
The excursion is not recommended for women in an advanced state of pregnancy.

The excursion takes place all year round, every day, with a minimum of 2 participants.
The boat is an 8-metre motor boat equipped with a large awning, safety equipment, bow sundeck, cushions, Bluetooth stereo system, freshwater shower and ladder.
The itinerary and entry into the caves will depend on weather and sea conditions.
Dogs of all sizes are allowed on board.
Any food allergies/intolerances can be reported to the skipper after the booking has been confirmed.
The departure point, which is marked with a flag, can be reached by public transport and by car (paid parking spaces available in the vicinity).
