Full description
Set sail to discover Palmarola with a day boat tour from Ponza, the largest of the islands off the Gulf of Gaeta.
Skirting Ponza from the Grotte di Pilato to the Faro della Guardia lighthouse, you will then sail towards Palmarola to discover its rocky, jagged coastline framed by shimmering turquoise waters.
The hours will fly by between dips in the sea, tasty breaks, and toasts on board in the company of a friendly skipper and your fellow excursionists. It will be an opportunity to make new friends and relax blissfully!
What we will do
We will meet at the Ponza pier 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time . To welcome you there will be me, the skipper who will accompany you on this day of adventure in thePonzian Archipelago. I will take you aboard a comfortable boat with plenty of space for sunbathing... but also for those who prefer to be in the shade!
Around 11am we will start our sailing. We will sail past the Grotte di Pilato (Pilate's Caves ) and the Faro della Guardia (Lighthouse of the Guard), two of the symbols of the island of Ponza, and then head towards Palmarola, which we will reach after about 40 minutes.
Once we arrive at our destination, we will make the first of the four bathing stops planned during the excursion, chosen according to weather and sea conditions. During the stops, which will last between half an hour and an hour each, you will be able to swim in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island or dive to explore the seabed with the snorkelling masks provided on board.
We will circumnavigate Palmarola to admire some of its most famous and scenic coves, such as Cala Brigantina, the Cathedrals, the Three Arches and Cala del Francese. The island is practically uninhabited in the winter months, while in the summer the people of Ponza frequent its cave-houses, perfectly set in the wilderness.
During the excursion we will enjoy a lunch on board (included) with delicious tomato bruschette and pizzette, followed by a first course, all accompanied by prosecco and drinks. In the afternoon, a snack with cake, fresh fruit and coffee will be waiting for us. Throughout the day, anopen bar will be available with fresh alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The return to Ponza is scheduled around 17:00, for a total duration of 6 hours.

The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 3.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchairs or persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The excursion takes place daily from May to September, subject to weather and sea conditions, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 10 participants.
You will sail on a 12.20-metre long and 3.50-metre wide motor boat, ideal for accommodating up to 44 passengers. The boat is equipped with all safety equipment, a shaded area and a sundeck with cushions, as well as toilets.
Dogs are not allowed.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
