Full description
If you fancy spending a unique and special time away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you absolutely cannot miss the boat tour to the Island of Ortigia and the sea caves. It will be an opportunity to admire Syracuse's most suggestive places from an enviable position!
The one-hour tour will take you to the Grand Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the Mediterranean, the Umbertino Bridge and the Arethusa Spring.
You will also have the opportunity to admire some sea caves along the Syracuse coast, such as the famous Grotta dell'amore. Finally, you can take a swim in the blue sea of Sicily. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The rendezvous is in Syracuse. Upon our arrival, the skipper will be waiting for us and, once everyone is on board, we will set off on a boat tour of Ortigia.
The first point we will reach will be the Grand Harbour, one of the most striking natural bays in the Mediterranean where we will admire luxurious yachts and one of the facades of the Duomo. We will then continue our tour arriving at Fonte Aretusa, a stretch of water that meets the Ionian Sea and the imposing Maiace Castle.
Afterwards, we will head out into the open sea to the sea caves. We will be offered fresh fruit and drinks and, near the caves, we will take a 10-minute swim break. Back on board, we will visit the Capuchin Cave, the Coral Cave and the Stalactite Cave, so called because its interior is characterised by peculiar limestone forms.
Finally, we will be enchanted by the Cave of Love, to be immortalised in beautiful photographs. We will then return to our starting point. The tour lasts one hour in total.

The tour is available from May to October and will be confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
Children up to the age of 5 participate free of charge.
The boat is 8.30 metres long and is equipped with a shower, awning and mini fridge.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
