Full description
There are places where you prepare to leave your heart, but you don't know it yet. Marettimo is one of them!
Set sail for five hours of pure wonderment circumnavigating the wildest island of the Egadi Islands with a local skipper.
Incredible caves, dives into the waters of the nature reserve and a typical aperitif of cunzato bread and local delicacies await you!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Marettimo (TP) . Here we will meet our skipper, ready to welcome us on board the boat.
At around 11am we will set sail to begin our adventure: a complete circumnavigation of the island of Marettimo. We will sail along the rocky coastline to visit the 8 main sea caves, entering the boat inside these spectacular natural caverns. We will also have access to Zone A of the Nature Reserve, a protected area where the sea is a transparent aquarium.
During the day we will stop for five or six swimming stops in the most picturesque coves, each lasting about 15-20 minutes. We will begin in the north, diving at Cala Manione or Scalo Maestro, and then head towards the magnificent Cala Bianca. Then we will experience the thrill of a swim in the Ruttiddi, small communicating caves where we will enter the water from one side and exit from the other.
After the exploration, we will make a longer stop of about an hour to enjoy an aperitif on board. We will savour typical cunzato bread and authentic island flavours with a tasting of local honey and cheese, accompanied by wine, water and seasonal fruit. During the tour, the skipper will tell us history and curiosities about Marettimo, to make us fall in love with the wildest island of the Egadi Islands.
We will then continue to the south-western side for the last few swims between Cala Nera and Cretazzo, before heading back to the port, where we will return around 16: 00.
The activity will last a total of 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 1 year old.
The boat is not accessible for wheelchair users and persons with reduced mobility.
The excursion is not recommended for pregnant women.

The activity takes place from June to September.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is an 11-metre long by 4-metre wide gozzo , equipped with a large sundeck, a shaded area and an ascending ladder. One stays on board without shoes.

Small dogs are welcome on board.
The village of Marettimo is entirely pedestrianised, so there is no parking. The meeting point can be reached by hydrofoil.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
