Give your summer a boost with the one-hour boat tour to the Island of Ortigia and the Sea Caves of Syracuse. It will be an opportunity to enjoy a totally relaxing trip, surrounded by the wonders of a place that will leave you speechless.
TheIsland of Ortigia is the oldest part of Syracuse and is characterised by a few rocks rising to the surface of the water. You will admire the Levante promenade, small and very close to the city, and the Fountain of Arethusa, a pool of fresh water that reaches the island by underground pathways and then flows into the sea.
This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to relax and get to know, from an enviable position, the most picturesque part of Sicily.
What we will do
The meeting is at the Syracuse infopoint. After completing the various reception formalities and meeting the skipper, we will reach the Porto Umbertino where we will board the 8-metre boat.
Once ready, we will set off for the ancient port of Syracuse, dedicated to the patron saint Santa Lucia, and head for the suggestive Sea Caves. For example, we will see the Grotta degli innamorati (Lovers' Grotto), so called because of its peculiar heart shape.
The tour will also take us to admire the Levante promenade on the island of Ortigia, the Maniace Castle, a fortress dominating ancient Syracuse, and the Arethusa Spring, a pool of fresh water intertwined with the Ionian Sea. Here, those who wish can dive off the boat to enjoy a swim in the turquoise sea.
The tour lasts a total of one hour and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The hike is simple and suitable for everyone, with no age limit. However, it is not recommended for pregnant women from the seventh month onwards. The boat is not wheelchair accessible.

The tour can be booked from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The boat is 8.20 metres long and equipped with an awning, stereo, platform, table and all necessary safety equipment.
Children aged 0 to 3 years can participate free of charge.
