Did you know that in Syracuse even the rocks have a story to tell?
And no, we're not just talking about Greek temples. Imagine sailing on the sea of Sicily, while the skipper tells you the best-kept secrets of the island of Ortigia.
On this one-and-a-half-hour boat trip, you will explore magnificent caves and admire the historic heart of Syracuse from a new perspective. And of course you won't miss a dip!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Syracuse (SR) . Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us on our adventure!
We will set sail leaving the old Bourbon prison in Syracuse behind us and head towards the spectacular sea caves. We will admire the Archimedes, Coral and Stalactite caves, enjoying the reflections of light on the limestone walls.
During the navigation we will make a 15-20 minute swim stop at one of the clearest spots on the coastline. We will dive and use the snorkelling masks available on board to explore the seabed. We will then continue on to the War Memorial and the curious dolphin-shaped stone, a natural sculpture that seems to leap out of the waves.
Turning back, we will begin the circumnavigation of the island of Ortigia, admiring the imposing Maniace Castle and the Arethusa Spring from the sea. We will pass by the Cathedral of Syracuse and slide under the historic Umbertino Bridge, enjoying the view of the Baroque palaces overlooking the water.
Finally, we will return to the starting point. The activity will last 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Children under 2 years of age are free of charge: please communicate their presence to the contacts indicated in your booking confirmation email.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible; however, staff can assist any passengers with mild mobility difficulties in boarding.

The activity takes place from April to December and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary according to weather and sea conditions at the crew's discretion.
The boat used is a Liver trimaran, 8 metres long and equipped with awning, freshwater shower, climbing ladder and stereo.
Small dogs are welcome on board.
Free parking spaces are available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
