What we will do

We will meet at the small port of Syracuse, where our boat is docked. After taking our places on board, we will set off for the Syracuse coast with its magnificent caves.

We will head north along the Syracuse coastline, keeping the city of Syracuse to the right and Ortigia to the left. We will sail along the coast dotted with countless caves such as the Coral Cave and the Cappuccini Cave and take unforgettable photos of the seabed. Thanks to the crystal-clear water, we will easily spot natural wonders such as coral flowers.

Our itinerary cannot miss the Grotta dell'Amore (Cave of Love), so called because of its characteristic heart shape.

Depending on the weather and wind conditions, we will choose the spot where we will dive and bathe in the blue waters of the Syracuse coastline. After the swim, we will return to circumnavigate theisland of Ortigia.

We will thus have the opportunity to observe its architectural beauty from the sea, from the Spanish walls to the Maniace Castle to the Arethusa Spring. The latter is certainly one of the most fascinating views of the island. It is, in fact, a stretch of fresh water just a few metres from the sea, characterised by the presence of luxuriant Egyptian papyrus, an aquatic plant considered a true rarity in Europe.

We will sail the boat first under Ponte Santa Lucia and then under Ponte Umberto, a 19th-century bridge with romantic wrought-iron lampposts, before returning to the starting point.

The excursion will last a total of one hour.
