Full description
Cross the Strait of Messina starting from Torre Faro on a 3-hour boat tour.
You will head towards Capo Pacì, the first and most enchanting stretch of the Calabrian coastline. You will then head towards Scilla's most beautiful spots, from the beach of Marina Grande to the promontory overlooking the sea on which the Ruffo Castle stands, from the Ulysses rock to theancient fishing district of Chianalea.
The last stop will be Favazzina, a little corner of paradise with a surprisingly clear sea, where you will stop for a swim before returning to Torre Faro.
What we will do
The boat is waiting for us at Torre Faro together with the skipper who will accompany us on our tour.
Once on board, we will cast off our moorings to cross the Strait of Messina and leave the tall iron pillar, symbol of Torre Faro, behind us.
We will then arrive at Capo Pacì, the first point on the Calabrian coast to which we will approach with our boat. We will then head towards the beach of Marina Grande, Scilla's longest beach with its 800 metres of evocative sandy shore lapped by a deep blue sea.
We will sail along the Ulysses rock and the sheer rocky outcrop of the sea that houses the imposing Ruffo Castle of Scilla .
We will then arrive at the point on the Scilla coast where the most picturesque district, Chianalea, is located. This is the old fishermen's quarter that captivates the eye with its narrow streets sloping down to the sea, colourful houses and restaurants built on stilts suspended over the water. We will thus enjoy a truly picture-postcard view.
After Chianalea, we will head towards Oliveto beach and Favazzina, where we will stop for a swim. After the stop, we will resume navigation to return to Torre Faro.
The excursion will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for everyone and recommended from 8 months of age. Children aged 0 to 5 years participate free of charge: notify the skipper of their presence after booking confirmation.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchairs and persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The tour runs from June to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
You set sail on a 7-metre long motor gozzo with a shaded area with awning, ladder and comfortable cushions.
On request, it is possible to take a small dog on board. Contact the skipper at the contact details given in the booking confirmation email to check availability.
