Full description
Along the Latium coast is a town rich in history and natural beauty. It stands on a spur and is part of a protected area of the regional park Riserva di Ulisse. It is Sperlonga, famous for its caves and crystal-clear waters.
Discover it from the sea with a1½-hour boat trip and treat yourself to arelaxing experience in an earthly paradise. You will have the opportunity to admire caves, coves and cliffs that cannot be reached from land, dive into the wonderfully clear water and, if you like, observe the marine life by snorkelling.
On board the boat there will be a guide who will tell you the history of these places inhabited since the Palaeolithic era and make the excursion interesting as well as relaxing and fun. Get ready to board!
What we will do
We will meet at the port of Sperlonga to depart immediately after the boarding formalities. On leaving the port we will see the first wonder, the Grotta di Tiberio: a natural cavity decorated with marble sculptures depicting the exploits of Ulysses. We will continue our navigation along the coastline admiring the medieval towers of the 16th century and the marvellous natural caves of limestone formation: the caves of Bazzano, Capovento.
We will then reach the unspoilt bay of Grotta Azzurra, which takes its name from the intense blue of its water. Here we will make a half-hour stop : the most experienced will be able to swim to the inside of the cave, and we can all dive in for a regenerating swim and some snorkelling. The waters of this bay are particularly clean, cool and crystal clear, thanks to the inflow of a natural spring that flows from the cliffs.
Those who don't want to go into the water can stay on board, but it's really a shame not to enjoy this beautiful and little-used sea! On the way back we will approach the beautiful Torre Truglia, symbol of Sperlonga, with the old town behind it. This will be the ideal moment for a souvenir photo of the experience.
The excursion lasts one and a half hours. The boat is comfortable, equipped with a ladder for easy entry into the water and a sun cover. There are baywatches and life jackets on board to allow even those who cannot swim to bathe in the wonderful waters of Sperlonga.

The activity is bookable from May to October, with rates varying according to the period selected, and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
Theboat can be either an 8-metre or a 14-metre gozzo, depending on availability; both are equipped with a canopy, ladder, changing room, toilet, shower, life jackets and baywatch.
