Have you ever tried looking for dolphins while having a slice of pizza?
No, it's not a new reality show, but our sunset boat excursion! Set sail from Giardini Naxos for 3 hours of pure magic between the Bay of Taormina and Isola Bella.
Together with a skipper, you will go in search of dolphins in the open sea, and then enjoy an aperitif as the sun dips into the horizon!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Giardini Naxos (ME). We will meet at the office and then be directed to the embarkation point. Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us on our boat trip at sunset in the Bay of Taormina!
We will begin our navigation by skirting the Bay of Naxos and Cape Taormina. We will pass the Grotta Azzurra and the Bay of Mazzarò, but our real mission will begin when we point the bow towards the open sea. In fact, we will go about a mile from the coast to spend a whole hour looking for dolphins: the probability of spotting them playing in the waves is very high!
Once we have experienced the thrill of meeting the cetaceans, we will head back towards the coast to reach the Isola Bella reserve. Here we will stop for a swim of about 20 minutes.
Back on board, it will be time for a sunset aperitif with pizza by the slice and typical rotisserie, accompanied by a glass of prosecco, water or soft drinks.
We will finally return to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 2 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
For safety reasons, the excursion is not allowed for pregnant women.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility.

The activity takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions. The departure time may vary during the season to ensure the best sunset light.
The boat used is a motorboat or a 10-metre wooden boat (depending on availability) , equipped with an awning, sundeck and climbing ladder; the motorboat is also equipped with a shower. There are no toilets on board, but these are available from the office at the meeting point.
If you have any food allergies or intolerances (including celiac disease or lactose intolerance) , please inform the organisers in advance at the contact details given in the confirmation e-mail to request dedicated alternatives.
Smoking is not permitted on board.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
Paying parking spaces are available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
