Enjoy a full-day boat trip to discover the beauties of the island of Vulcano in the Aeolian Islands, rich in unique and evocative places such as Vulcanello, the Valle dei Mostri and the Gran Crater Della Fossa.
Leaving from Lipari, you will have the opportunity to see up close bays and caves that are not accessible from land, such as the Grotta degli Angeli and the Bia delle Sabbie Nere, as well as unique ancient villages like Gelso. In addition, you can visit the island on your own or dive from the boat into the crystal-clear waters around Vulcano. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment is 20 minutes before 09:30 at the meeting point in Lipari. The excursion will begin by skirting Vulcanello, a small peninsula formed after a lava eruption in the 16th century and connected to the main part of the island by a thin strip of land.
Here we will also be able to admire the'Valley of the Monsters', so called because of the presence of grotesque and frightening rocks sculpted over the centuries by the wind and the sea. Due to the play of light and shadow in the valley, we will see bizarre figures reminiscent of scary animals, such as a bear and a lion.
Afterwards, we will continue to discover the Faraglioni, the Grotta degli Angeli and the Grotta del Cavallo. We will also have the opportunity to admire the Bay of Black Sands, famous for its black volcanic sand beach, and the Gran Crater, a depression 5000 metres in diameter.
Our next stop will be the Pool of Venus, a place shrouded in legend. It is said, in fact, that the goddess used to dive to recover her lost virginity. We will then sail back to Gelso, a small fishing village, known for its beautiful beaches.
During the excursion, it is also possible to make a few stops to dive into the water, weather permitting, and visit the island of Vulcano independently. The activity has a total duration of 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult; over 16s may participate unaccompanied if they have signed authorisation from a parent or legal guardian.

Attention! You must be at the meeting point 20 minutes before departure, otherwise boarding will not be guaranteed and no refund will be issued.
The experience takes place from May to September.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
