Feeling a bit down? Cheer yourself up straight away by booking this day out on a boat in Vulcano!
The only thing black you’ll find here is the sand. As for the rest, get ready for a 7-hour adventure amongst sea stacks, caves, bays and colourful little villages!
The trip sets off from Lipari, and you ’ll return there too, where you’ll raise a glass of local Malvasia and enjoy some sesame biscuits!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the departure time at the meeting point in Lipari (ME) . The skipper who will be accompanying us on the trip will be waiting for us there.
Once we’ve set sail, we’ll sail along the southern coast of the island, where we’ll admire the Faraglioni, Pietra Lunga and Pietra Menalda, two ancient volcanic necks rising out of the sea. Whilst sailing, we’ll enjoy a selection of fresh fruit before reaching Cala Formaggio, where we’ll stop for our first swim.
We’ll then set sail again towards the Grotta del Cavallo. At the entrance, we’ll be able to admire the picturesque Piscina di Venere, and we’ll stop here for a second swim.
We will then reach the small hamlet of Gelso, a fishing village dominated by its lighthouse. We will stop at Asino Beach, where we can have lunch at the Asino Beach lido or enjoy a packed lunch (not included) before taking another dip in the sea.
We’ll then return on board to head for the port of Levante, where we’ll have around 2 hours of free time. We can visit Vulcano’s thermal pool, known as Pozza dei Fanghi, the Acque Calde beach – characterised by bubbling water caused by gas emissions from the seabed – and the Sabbie Nere, known for their distinctive colour and shallow waters.
Before returning to Lipari, we’ll make one final stop for a swim at Praia Ferrante. We’ll round off the day by raising a glass of local Malvasia together, accompanied by sesame biscuits.
The excursion will last approximately 7 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions. Children must be accompanied by an adult; those aged 16 and over may take part without an accompanying adult.
This activity is not suitable for people with disabilities or mobility difficulties.
Other information
The trip runs from April to October and is confirmed once a minimum of 10 participants has been reached.
The boat is fitted with two 300 CV Aifo engines, VHF, GPS, a microphone system and a stereo. Guests have access to sun decks at the bow and on the upper deck, as well as a shaded area at the stern with cushions, a swim platform with a ladder, a shower and a toilet.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
