Full description
Venture aboard a buggy through the olive groves, trulli and masserie of the Itria Valley, discovering the stories and attractions of this area of Apulia.
During the 2-hour tour, you will have fun whizzing around in this two-seater vehicle, halfway between a quad and a small car and ideal for off-road itineraries.
Accompanied by a guide, you will set off from Castellana Grotte and cover about 20 km in the countryside between Monopoli, Castellana and Polignano a Mare, with small stops along the way. Off we go!
What we will do
The appointment is in Castellana Grotte (BA), 15 minutes before the time indicated when booking.
Here we will meet our guide and have a briefing of about 15 minutes to learn how to drive the buggy, a two-seater vehicle designed for off-roading, which is very simple and fun to drive.
At the end of the briefing we will board our vehicles and begin a 20 km itinerary on dirt roads and country tracks in the countrysidebetween Monopoli, Castellana Grotte and Polignano a Mare. We will pass through the olive groves of Castellana, past trulli and farmhouses typical of Apulian architecture and a small Byzantine temple dating back to 800 AD.
Along the way, we will make stops in the olive grove, in front of a trullo and at the small temple, where the guide will tell us the history of these places, to let us enter the timeless atmosphere of the Itria Valley.
After sharing the excitement of driving the buggy, we will return to Castellana after a 2-hour tour.
Who it is aimed at
To drive the buggy you must be over 18 years of age and hold an A1 or B driving licence.
The minimum age for passengers is 3 years.

The activity takes place all year round, every day.
Thefee is per buggy, on which one driver and one passenger can ride. The organiser has 10 buggies, for a maximum of 20 participants.
Driver and passenger can swap the driving of the buggy during stops, if both are licensed.
Small to medium-sized dogs can participate in this experience.
Castellana Grotte can be reached by public transport, with free pick-up on request from the nearest stop to the meeting point. The centre has a private car park.
