Did you know that the rare monk seal once swam in these waters? Following in its footsteps, you’ll set sail from Cala Gonone for a motorboat tour of the stunning Gulf of Orosei!
You’ll visit the Grotta del Bue Marino with a guide, before disembarking on the beautiful beach of Cala Luna, where you’ll have plenty of time to relax.
With your cave entry ticket included, all you’ll need to do is enjoy yourself… and keep your eyes wide open in wonder!
What we will do
We’ll meet 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Cala Gonone (NU).The crew will be there to welcome us aboard the motorboat!
Once all passengers have boarded, we’ll set sail from Cala Gonone towards the Grotta del Bue Marino; the journey will take approximately 30 minutes.
Once we reach our destination, we’ll disembark at the Grotta del Bue Marino: this is one of Sardinia’s most spectacular natural attractions, so named because it was once inhabited by monk seals. Once there, we’ll meet the official guide who’ll take us on a tour of the cave, walking 800 metres through its interior over 50 minutes, during which we’ll learn more about its history, geology and interesting facts.
Back on the water, we’ll set course for the enchanting Cala Luna. Here, we’ll disembark to enjoy some free time on the beach (up to 3 hours from June to September). We can go for a swim, go snorkelling or head to the bar-restaurant for lunch with a sea view.
Upon check-in, we’ll be given a voucher showing the available return times, and we’ll be free to choose when to take the motorboat back from Cala Luna to Cala Gonone.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions. Under-18s may take part unaccompanied.
The boat is not accessible to people with mobility issues.

The experience takes place from April to October.
Departure and return times may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, at the captain’s discretion. Any changes will not be eligible for a refund.
Please note! Between June and September, the maximum time allowed on Cala Luna beach is 3 hours.
The vessel is a motorboat equipped with a sun deck, shaded area and toilet facilities. The organiser has several motorboats of varying sizes, accommodating between 40 and 150 passengers, which are used subject to availability.
The environmental contribution payable to the Municipality of Dorgali (€2. 50) is not included and must be paid on site in cash. The environmental contribution is required of everyone, aged 0 to 99.
Dogs are not permitted.
The temperature inside the Grotta del Bue Marino is around 16–18 degrees. We recommend wearing suitable clothing due to the significant temperature difference between inside and outside.
Paid parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
