Full description
Learn to canoe on the waters of Lake Cavedine, nestled in the mountains of Trentino, and immerse yourself in a splendid setting where nature reigns supreme.
In a 2-hour lesson held by an expert instructor, you will learn the right paddling techniques and basic manoeuvres to enjoy fantastic water excursions.
What we will do
We will meet on the shores of Lake Cavedine, in the province of Trento. We will meet the instructor and, before getting into the water, we will have a short theoretical briefing on the rudiments of canoeing and the safety rules to maintain during the activity.
Afterwards, we will board the canoes to learn the "art of paddling". The instructor will teach us how to manoeuvre the canoe by paddling correctly, how to turn and "do a figure eight", how to start sprinting and stop quickly, as well as all the emergency manoeuvres that may occur during acanoe trip, such as getting out of the canoe upside down, turning it over and then getting back in.
The lesson will last 2 hours and will be tailored to the level of the participants, with the possibility of varying the programme according to the group's preferences.
At the end of the lesson we will take a short tour of the lake to practise the techniques we have learnt, and then we will paddle to the shore where a fitting conclusion awaits us: a lunch all together, for those who wish, in a traditional trattoria (lunch is not included in the participation fee).
Who it is aimed at
This activity is aimed at participants of all levels, newcomers, beginners, but also those who are already canoeists and want to perfect some manoeuvres or simply have fun together. The only requirement is knowing how to swim. Children from 6 years of age can also participate.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting place at least 15 minutes in advance.
This activity can be carried out from April to October, subject to instructor availability and favourable weather conditions. It is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
The lesson will be held in single or double canoes depending on the number and type of participants.
Changing rooms and safety lockers can be used at the canoe centre.
Participants who would like to stop and eat at the Osteria da Gio Lago Cavedine will receive a 10% discount on all meals.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
