Canoe tour on Lake Moro

It is no coincidence that they call it 'Moro'. Its deep, dark, almost black waters reflect the mystery of the rocks that surround it. But all you need is a canoe to discover all its wonder!

Immersed in the quietness of the Camonica Valley, Lake Moro is a glacial jewel that will surprise you with its intimate and wild landscape.

In the company of a local guide, you will explore its shores with paddle in hand. And if you wish, you can end the experience with an aperitif by the lake (optional)!

What we will do

The appointment is at the indicated time at Capo di Lago in Darfo (BS).

We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this excursion. After the usual introductions, we will participate in an initial briefing to learn the basics of safe paddling.

We will put on our life jackets, get into our canoes and start paddling on the calm waters of Lake Moro, a black pearl of glacial origin set among the mountains of Val Camonica. Surrounded by thick forests, rock walls and stone houses, the lake offers truly idyllic views.

We will follow the right bank of the lake, admiring the contrast between the lush vegetation and the deep, dark water. The guide will tell us anecdotes and curiosities about this place. On the way back, we will walk along the left bank, from where we can appreciate the surrounding mountains and their play of reflections on the water.

Those who have chosen theoption with an aperitif will conclude the experience with a break in a bar overlooking the lake, where they can enjoy a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic drink accompanied by various snacks.

The activity will last a total of 1.5 hours (2 hours with aperitif).

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for ages 6 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Children aged 6 to 10 years will share a double canoe with the accompanying adult.

The ability to swim is not required; good aquatics skills are sufficient.

The weight per canoe must not exceed 150 kg.

Other information

The activity takes place all year round: from May to September every day, in the remaining months only at weekends, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

Caution! From 1 June to 31 August you can only reach the meeting point by shuttle bus (4€ return; not included) from the Via Gregorini and Casa Cantoniera (Via T. Bortolotti) stops. The shuttle runs from 9 a.m. (first outward journey) to 7 p.m. (last return journey). Rides are available every 30 minutes. For more information, please contact the guide after booking confirmation.

Participants can choose between single and double canoes, depending on their preferences.

No changing rooms or showers are available at the meeting point, but there are public toilets and an area where you can leave your personal belongings.

It is possible to participate with your dog.

This activity is available in a "without aperitif" or "with aperitif" version: you can select your preferred option when booking. If you have any food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers in advance at the contact details given in your participation confirmation e-mail.
