Full description
On holiday, are you always looking for the most charming and characteristic villages to visit? Then you cannot miss the village of Monterosso in the province of La Spezia!
This approximately two-hour canoe tour will allow you to admire both the modern and historical parts of the largest village in the Cinque Terre while an instructor will tell you some curious anecdotes about the history of the place. You will paddle for about 2.5 km and halfway through you will stop to explore the marine environment with a bit of snorkelling.
It will be a unique experience, combining the fascination of history with the fun of canoeing!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Monterosso al Mare (SP), where our canoe instructor will be waiting for us. After he has handed us all the necessaryequipment, we will reach the seashore and learn the correct techniques for paddling in a briefing lasting a few minutes.
Shortly afterwards we will be ready to set off on our tour to discover the village of Monterosso, the largest of the Cinque Terre. On board the canoe we will paddle for about 2.5 km on the waters that wash the town and we will be able to admire both its more modern and touristic part and its historical part, characterised by a high bell tower, a medieval tower and a bunker dating back to the Second World War. In addition, during the excursion we will pass by peculiarly shaped rocks.
About halfway along the route there will be a 20-minute stop where we can swim and snorkel. We will explore the waters of the sea and our instructor will reveal some interesting facts about the flora and marine fauna of the area, as well as some valuable anecdotes about the history of Monterosso.
After an hour and a half of paddling we will return to our starting point, now in tune with the beautiful natural surroundings.
The activity lasts a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 7. Children under the age of 12 may only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult, while children 12 and older may participate alone, subject to signing a parent's release form.
Participants must have a maximum weight of 110 kg.
Swimming skills are required for the activity, while previous experience in canoeing is not required.

The activity is available from April to October.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. Free and paid parking spaces are available nearby.
The facility has 7 two-seater canoes and 2 single canoes. A wetsuit or lycra jersey (included) can be requested at the facility and changing cabins, showers and a storage room for valuables are available. Should you need to take a personal item with you on the excursion, you can store it in a waterproof bag (included).
Dogs are not allowed to participate in the activity.
