Experience the thrill of a canoe trip on the River Nera, which springs from the Sibillini Mountains and is known for its clear, cool waters.
Discover an unspoilt corner of Umbria and, paddle after paddle, experience the spectacle of nature up close, having fun and refreshing yourself with a splash of water!
An expert guide will accompany you along an evocative water route suitable for everyone. Get ready to go!
What we will do
We will meet in Vallo di Nera, in the province of Perugia. Here we will meet the guide who will accompany us for the duration of the excursion and we will be given all the equipment we need to descend the river Nera by canoe.
By shuttle bus we will reach the embarkation point and, before lowering the canoes into the water, we will have a theoretical and practical lesson on how to behave in the river. When we are ready, the real adventure will begin, which will take us along a 5 km stretch on the Nera.
We will learn the main canoeing techniques and in the meantime we will be able to admire the beautiful vegetation and fauna that populate the river banks. We will paddle calmly and quietly, pausing at the most evocative spots to breathe in the scent of river nature.
At the landing point, there will be a shuttle bus to take us back to the starting point. The duration of the activity is approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is for everyone from 14 years old and up. No previous canoeing experience is necessary.
Other information
This activity can be carried out all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants, subject to weather and hydrometric conditions.
At the end of the activity, showers and changing rooms are available at the outdoor centre.
The activity can be carried out with one- or two-seater canoes , depending on preference and availability.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
