Full description
If you think canoeing is only an Olympic discipline, it's time to think again. This excursion in the Valnerina is an opportunity to let yourself be carried away by the current, literally!
You will start from the calm waters of the Sordo river and then be swept into the more lively Corno, with dynamic passages, stops for diving and moments of pure fun.
Your adventure will last about 3 hours, with a guide accompanying you along the way. And, after paddling to your heart's content, an Umbrian aperitif awaits you to recharge your batteries!
What we will do
The meeting point is 30 minutes before the indicated time in Serravalle (PG).
Awaiting us will be the guide who will accompany us on this experience. After dressing and a short briefing on paddling techniques and safety rules, we will reach the river access point, about 100 metres from the facility. Here we will put our canoes in the water and get ready for the adventure!
We will start from the Sordo river, a perfect water gym to get familiar with paddling. After about 200 metres we will enter the Corno river, where the rhythm will become more lively. Here we will alternate between more dynamic stretches and stops for swimming and diving into the current. The guide will always be with us, ready to give us advice and have fun with us.
After paddling for about 3.5 km surrounded by the nature of the Valnerina, we will arrive at the river exit point. Here a minibus will pick us up and take us back to the base in about 10 minutes.
To end our adventure in the best possible way, we will enjoy an aperitif in the countryside with Spritz (or non-alcoholic drink) and an assortment of cold meats, local cheeses and savoury snacks: the right reward for our efforts!
The activity will last a total of 3 hours, including about 2 hours of canoe descent.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 14; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have signed authorisation.
Itis not necessary to know how to swim; it is sufficient not to be afraid of water.
The maximum weight per participant is 100 kg.
Other information
The activity takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
Gender-specific changing rooms with toilets and showers are available at the facility, as well as safety lockers where you can leave your personal belongings. It is not permitted to carry mobile phones or other objects during the activity.
The facility has five individual canoes.
In the event of food allergies or intolerances, it is important to inform the organisers a few days before participation at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.
On the day of the activity, it is possible to request a photo shoot at a cost of €20 per group, payable locally.
The meeting point is easily accessible by public transport. Free parking is available at the venue.
