Let us guess: you just can't resist cheese!
Then don't miss this day on an agritourism in the province of Chieti: you can walk along the paths once trodden by the shepherds of the area and take part in a cheese-making workshop to create a delicious caciotta.
Dulcis in fundo. .. you will enjoy a lunch of typical local delicacies!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Montenerodomo (CH). Our guide will be waiting for us, ready to accompany us on a journey of discovery of the ancient art of cheese-making.
We will begin with a pleasant walk along the first stretch of the Monti Carricini path, immersed in the unspoilt nature of the Maiella National Park. We will walk admiring the wild orchid and laburnum blooms, until we reach the crest of Monte di Maio to admire the view and take some souvenir photos.
After the hike, we will return to the farm to participate in a real cheese-making workshop. We will make a fresh cheese with freshly milked milk, discovering curiosities and secrets about cheese-making. We will also have the chance to meet the farm animals, including sheep, cows, geese and baby goats!
We'll end the experience by enjoying a delicious lunch (included) of cold meats, cheeses and local wines!
The activity will last a total of 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 4. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not accessible to people in wheelchairs or with walking difficulties.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
Please note: if a minimum of 3 adults book, from the fourth participating adult onwards you pay a reduced rate of €60 per person. Contact us to make your reservation!
The guided hike is 3. 5 km long, with an altitude difference of 150 m, and takes place on easy trails.

Dogs are allowed.
There is free parking on site for participants. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
