Walking around Florence is wonderful, but whizzing through its historic alleyways whilst avoiding the traffic is pure freedom! Get ready to explore the city centre on a city bike – the perfect way to discover the city without limits.
On this day’s bike hire, you’ll set the rules, cycling from the Duomo to picturesque views over the Arno. Thanks to the staff’s advice and included extras such as a basket and a mobile phone holder, the adventure has never been easier!
What we will do
You can collect your city bike between 09: 00 and 13: 00 at the meeting point in Florence (FI), where the local staff will welcome you. After a brief introductory briefing , you’ll hop on your city bike and set off to explore.
You’ll be provided with a nimble, pedal-powered bike , ideal for navigating the cobblestones and streets of the city centre with ease. Using the digital map on the mobile phone holder ( included) , you can easily find your way to Piazza della Signoria or the charming Oltrarno district, although the staff will suggest the best routes to avoid overly crowded streets, ensuring your ride is always smooth and carefree.
You’ll decide when to stop to take a few photos or tuck into a well-deserved Tuscan schiacciata, whilst conveniently stowing your rucksack and shopping in the bike’s handy front basket.
If you decide to take a longer break – for example, to visit a museum – you’ll be provided with a high-security chain lock, essential for securing your bike firmly so you can enjoy the city’s wonders with complete peace of mind.
The bike must be returned by 7. 30 pm at the latest, after a total hire period of approximately 10 hours ( including any breaks and the return of the bike) .
Who it is aimed at
This activity is easy and suitable for everyone. The open-frame bikes are suitable for people between 1. 55 m and 1. 80 m tall.
Children’s bikes with 20-inch and 24-inch wheels are also available on request at the same price: please contact the organiser using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to make your request.
Other information
Bikes are available to hire all year round from Monday to Saturday.
Child seats ( front-facing up to 12 kg or rear-facing up to 22 kg) are available on request at an additional cost of €4, payable on site on the day of the activity; pushchairs are not available.
To collect the bike, one form of ID per group is required, along with a security deposit of €200 per bike, payable by credit card, which will be released at the end of the hire period.
Paid parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
