Are you fascinated by the underwater world and would you like to experience the thrill ofdiving without an aqualung?
Here's your chance! The apnea diving course at a diving centre in Maratea will allow you to approach this fascinating discipline together with expert instructors and obtain an internationally recognised licence.
You will follow 5 lessons of 3 hours each, during which you will acquire theoretical notions and will immediately be able to put into practice what you have learnt. Dive in with us!
What we will do
The appointment is at our diving centre in Maratea, Basilicata. Here you will meet theinstructor who will accompany you during the theoretical and practical part of the lessons required to obtain the apnoea diving licence.
Every diver (or almost every diver) dreams of being able to dive without having to rely on an aqualung. To do this safely, however, specific skills must be acquired. Our freediving course will enable you to achieve exactly what you desire. You will learn how to perfect your diving technique, better co-ordinate your movements and, of course, how to hold your breath!
But how will the course unfold? During the first lesson we will give a general presentation of this discipline, the first form of diving practised by man.
The following lessons will be divided into a theoretical and a practical part . After about an hour's lesson at the diving centre, we will put on our wetsuits and move to the beach at the Maratea Dock to practise the techniques of diving, breathing, descending to the seabed, and much more, always accompanied by our instructor.
Each dive exercise will last about an hour and each time you will be able to see for yourself your improvements. At the end of the course, you will be awarded your international freediving licence. Congratulations!
The course has a total duration of 15 hours, divided into 5 lessons of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to everyone aged 10 and over, provided they are in good health. A certificate of good health is required for enrolment in the freediving course.
Minors must be accompanied.
Other information
The activity is available all year round.
A total of 15 hours of training, i.e. 5 lessons of 3 hours each, is required to obtain the international licence. Arrangements can be made directly with the instructor, and you can choose whether to take lessons on consecutive days or combine several lessons on one day.
Included in the cost of the course is the rental of complete apnea diving equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, ballast, gloves, socks, buoy marker) and the issuance of the internationally recognised Freediving certification.
